"Tales of a Vampire Hunter" Omnibus Collection

Tales of a Vampire Hunter Omnibus Collection

This Omnibus Edition collects the three Tales of a Vampire Hunter novellas into a single volume. It is for those who arrived late to the party and wish to save a few bucks while picking up the same stories in a single package plus a bonus short story and an audio-story offer.

The first Tales of a Vampire Hunter story (Vacancy) was released as a standalone short story in July 2012. Due to reader demand and reviewer encouragement, the rest of the story was released over the next several months as a series of blog posts that turned into IMMORAL, the first novella in the series.

My thanks go out to the readers who helped craft the novellas that followed and kept asking for more. Without you, I wouldn't have completed DEPRAVED or BESPELLED. Your demand and support created this novel as much as I did and turned me from a short-story writer into a best-selling author of novels.

Tales of a Vampire Hunter is the story of Oliver Ripley, a vampire hunter struggling to understand his rare powers while vampires threaten mankind and ancient and evil beings plot revenge and the ultimate destruction of humans. The world we know has grown unkind; the dangers undiscussed and unseen. But some still hope and dream despite the menace others cannot see. When worlds collide, and mankind teeters on the edge of extinction, its only hope is an unlikely team of a gifted little girl, a vengeful vampire hunter, a reluctant vampire, and a mutant werewolf.

"Immoral: Tales of a Vampire Hunter #1" . . . Then and Now

Immoral: Tales of a Vampire Hunter #1 early cover idea
Immoral: Tales of a Vampire Hunter #1 (early cover idea)
Today, someone "liked" this 2013 cover idea I posted in a Facebook group way back then and gave me such a thrill. How lucky I am to have had the support of readers for all this time. You made the book #1. You turned it from a short story into a trilogy, and you have kept it in the top 100 on Amazon since 2013. The Omnibus Edition comes out soon, and IMMORAL (the first in the series) is . . . and always will be . . . free as a "thank you" to readers. None of this magic could have happened without you.

Just for fun, here's the old, original description:

Vampires, Vampire hunters, forbidden love, thrilling adventure and hot sex. Readers say, "What a fast paced, roller coaster ride of an erotic adventure. I had a hard time putting this book down. As the reader follows Oliver Ripley on his coming of age adventure, there is sex, death, romance, and plot twists to keep the action moving forward at a rapid pace."

Sexy new Cover for "Amaranthine Rain"

Amaranthine Rain by Zander Vyne a short story collection
So Amaranthine Rain (a short-story collection) is #69 today on Amazon (in paid literary short fiction . . . huzzah!), and my Facebook page is once again gaining followers (4,699 as of today).
Coincidence? Considering the majority of the stories in the collection are erotic horror, I think not. 69. 69. 69.
Maybe today is the day I will sell 69 copies in one day. Or, better yet, 666 copies ;>) (Universal linky-link for Amazon) (Barnes and Noble link)

Love, Lust and Zombies Cover Art

The paperback version is now available for pre-sale on Amazon, though it won't ship until September 2015. Mitzi Szereto is, hands down, my favorite editor, so I know this one will include some killer stories.

"Let’s face it: zombies are hot, and baby, they’re getting hotter. Although not the most traditional of sex symbols, zombies are truly coming into their own, even landing on the silver screen in romantic roles, not to mention ambling and shambling across the pages of novels and television screens. Gone are those one-dimensional scary characters from George Romero’s grim and gruesome flick Night of the Living Dead. Zombies now have a lot more to offer to the non-zombie world.

From the bestselling novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to the hit TV series The Walking Dead, zombies are taking over as a source of entertainment. So isn’t it about time they had their more...err...romantic and sexy sides showcased?"

I've written before about my inspiration for the story I submitted, Under a Perfect Sun, and I was thrilled to hear it was called "literary and ambitious, sci-fi" by the publishing company. I was also honored to learn that it had been picked to anchor the book. Pretty good for a story that started as a writing challenge for me, and with a question . . . could I write a story that involved zombies and sex that also provided a logical explanation for the deed?

Cover Reveal - Darker Edge of Desire: Gothic Tales of Romance

I'm loving the classy looking art the publisher picked for Darker Edge of Desire, the Mitzi Szereto anthology that will include my story, Red House, an edgy tale involving a vampire and a priest.

I'll post a sneak peak soon. In the meantime, check out the pre-order page on Amazon for more details or to reserve your copy now.

The Art of Designing Cover Art and Promo Art

I'm working on new projects (yay!), but having a difficult time finding a cover artist to do my chick-lit cover. I've searched, and searched, and I'm finding a strange thing linking the artists whose work I like - they are all rather snitty and unfriendly (boo!). Perhaps it's just been an off week for everybody, or they don't realize how much they turn people off, or maybe that's part of their "I'm so good, I can be a bitch" sales tactic. Whatever. It's only putting me in a bad mood. So, the search continues. Someday, I will find someone who is talented and pleasant. Wish me luck and please send recommendations my way.

In the meantime, I've been working with images to create my own banners. I love, love, love playing with art and could easily do it for hours. But, like most of you, I don't have hours to spare fiddling around making banners and promo materials. I'm saving my pennies to splurge on a perfect cover for my next novel, so I sourced art from free places online and do all my own promo pieces. These tools have saved me hours of labor:
  • - I love this tool for resizing, cropping, layering and lettering. I did this simple banner in under five minutes using the basic tools:
  • - I used this tool to add color and depth to this simple banner (this took a bit longer, as the lettering had to be fiddled with so it popped, his hair had to be darker, and her lips redder). All in all, I probably spent 30 minutes making this:

Amaranthine Rain an Anthology by Zander Vyne - Cover Reveal

Amaranthine Rain and Anthology by Zander Vyne

In eighteen new and previously published short stories, Zander Vyne twists the formulas—finishing dangerously kinky sex with unexpected happy endings, abandoning damsels in distress to their own devices, leading readers through twisted labyrinths where chaos hovers under the surface of normality. Featuring characters that traverse the edges of sexuality, in humorous or darkly erotic settings, from noir to horror, each story extends the limits of erotic fiction.

IMMORAL Has a Snazzy New Cover

I am so happy with how this cover turned out! Thanks BookDomme for holding my hand through the process and for your lovely work.

Final edits are happening now, then it's on to pre-launch marketing. Exciting stuff!

Depraved, Tales of a Vampire Hunter #2 is well under way. Starting soon, I'll share chapters in progress.

Do-Over . . . my Nanowrimo Project

I'm working away at my Nanowrimo project (up to almost 8,000 words). Here's the temporary, just for fun cover.

Thrones of Desire: The Last Sacrifice

Isn't this the most awesome cover for a fantasy, erotica anthology you've ever seen? I had to share it with you right away, I love it so much!

Thrones of Desire, edited by Mitzi Szereto, is out from Cleis Press in September. It includes my story, The Last Sacrifice, the romantic tale of a girl in love with an otherworldly creature, facing death as sacrifice to a dragon.

The title/author lineup for the collection is terrific:

Hot as a Dragon’s Blood – Eric Del Carlo
Of High Renown – Janine Ashbless
At the Sorcerer’s Command – Kim Knox
Silver – Anna Meadows
In the Kingdom of Roz – Madeline Moore
Key to the Queen’s Elixir – Jo Wu
Here There Be Dragons – Ashley Lister
Flesh and Stone – Sacchi Green
Saints and Heroes – M. H. Crane
Escape – Mitzi Szereto
Eyekeeper – Aurelia T. Evans
The Widow’s Man – Nyla Nox
Jericho – Megan Arkenberg
The Last Sacrifice – Zander Vyne

Mitzi Szereto is the editor of Red Velvet and Absinthe. She's not afraid to push the boundaries of erotica so I know this collection will be literary, sometimes dark, but above all, sexy.
